Monumental architecture beneath an impossible concrete moon.
02 · Concrete Moon places dark architectural masses against a pale circular form that feels simultaneously celestial and constructed. Weathered material texture gives the moon unusual physical weight, while a narrow orange fissure introduces a single concentrated line of warmth into the otherwise restrained composition.
The contrast between circle and fractured geometry gives the work a graphic clarity that holds from across a room, while surface texture and layered shadow reward closer viewing.
October Studies is a six-piece architectural art series from Cole Design Works exploring mass, shadow, material, scale, and atmosphere at the darker edge of architectural composition.
Rather than relying on conventional Halloween imagery, each study interprets October through monumental geometry, restrained color, texture, light, and spatial tension.
Each work stands independently while forming part of a connected six-study sequence.
